DRATS!  CANCELLED BECAUSE OF RAIN AND SNOW STORMS – Please join the Rivanna Conservation Alliance and the University of Virginia for the World Water Day Cleanups at the Rivanna River at Free Bridge and at Meadow Creek near the K-Mart Shopping Center.

These events are being co-sponsored by the Rivanna Conservation Alliance and the University of Virginia’s Urban and Environmental Planning Program, the Darden School of Business, the School of Architecture, Environmental Sciences Department, Sustainability UVA, Green Grounds, the City of Charlottesville, the Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority and many more.Free Bridge – at the corner of Rt. 250 and High St and River Street – next to the Auto Zone – please park at the Tractor Supply Parking lot and walk across to the Stairs heading down to the Rivanna River and Trail.

Please register for World Water Day River Cleanups so we can assure that we have adequate supplies, equipment and staff at each of the following locations.

WHAT WILL BE PROVIDED:
-Trash Bags
-Latex Gloves
-Water/ Refreshments
-Removal and Recycle of TrashSUGGEST THAT YOU WEAR AND  BRING:
-Closed toe shoes
-Long pants and shirt
-Sunscreen
-Bug repellent
-Brimmed hat
-Work gloves
-Shoes and clothes that can get dirty and wet!
